Our founders bring decades of expertise in investing, enterprise software, and machine learning, having built and scaled businesses across public and private markets, and engineered AI systems for some of the world’s most demanding environments.

A seasoned investor with over 20 years across equity, credit, and venture at firms like Jennison Associates, Perry Capital, and Fortress. Steve has scaled businesses in financial services and technology, applying frameworks of disruptive innovation as an operator, board member, and advisor.
Brian Mahlstedt, CTO
A veteran engineering leader with a track record spanning SpaceX, Citadel, and multiple successful startups. Brian has built AI systems for rocket landings, portfolio analytics, and research automation. He brings deep technical and domain expertise to the Metis platform.
